Art Goes Kapakka is an event that has taken place in Helsinki since 1995. Idea is to bring art to pubs and restaurants, closer to everyday life of people. This year graffiti and street art had a quite large role among the presented artwork.
Nosturi, a venue where bands perform as well as many other events take place. And yes, naturally there is a restaurant too. And that’s the spot where my paintings were on display during the event in August 2015.
Names of bands that have performed at Nosturi, done in graffiti lettering. I chose three color schemes for the paintings, which followed the visuals from each bands albums. Themes were brown/sepia, red/orange and black/white.
